Stellios  Missirlis was born in Thessaloniki city of Greece. He has been living in  Canada for over 40 years out of which almost 10 in Vaughan.

He holds a B. Sc. in Physics & Math and a Master of Engineering degree from University  of Toronto.

He has been an IT professional for over 30 years.

His  1st  IT job was with the Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering of Univ of Toronto. Subsequently he worked for 5 years for the City of Toronto Planning Department  (ex Board) where he was in charge of the Software Development  of the City’s Land Use Information System.

In the 80s he worked for a while in Saudi Arabia as a consultant and later run a consulting outfit in Athens, Greece.

Upon  return to Canada in 1988 he has been working in a consulting capacity for many FORTUNE 500 Canadian and US corporations as well as utilities and the Ontario Provincial Government, most recently the Ministry of Transportation.

While at U of T he was treasurer of the Graduate Students Association.
In 90-92  he was chairman of CIPS’ (Canadian Info Processing Society) CASE Special Interest Group.
From 2006-now he is President of the Greek-Canadian Sports Club.
From 2010-now he is a member of the Oriole Community Centre Advisory Council.

He is married to Elly, a real estate professional, and has two children. His son is a Medical Doctor  in Vancouver and his daughter studies law in N. Zealand.
