Bevilacqua: It’s official

Maurizio Bevilacqua

As of today, the city’s election website  lists Maurizio Bevilacqua as a registered candidate for mayor. This puts to rest months of speculation and rumours about whether or not the longtime MP would enter the race. Back in July, when his candidacy was still just a rumour, Vaughan Today held an unscientific twitter poll to see which candidate residents would chose as mayor in a  race that included Bevilacqua. If the anecdotal results of the poll are any indication, it looks like he may be a strong contender in the next few weeks.
