Don’t put away your black markers just yet…

29 Oct

Well, the municipal elections may be over, but Vaughan still has one more to go. The Federal by-election for the riding of Vaughan has been called for Nov. 29.

That means over the next month candidates will square off for the seat held by mayor-elect Maurizio Bevilacqua for over 20 years. With former top cop Julian Fantino going to bat for the Conservatives and active citizen Tony Genco hitting for the Liberals, it promises to be an interesting race.

But how will you know what’s happening, you ask? Not to worry. The VT election blog will stay with you until this seat is filled! Stay tuned for interviews, debates and commentary, starting with Fantino and Genco next week.

Also, watch out for other Vaughan content coming your way from VT. After all, this city does more than vote!
