Narrow win for Fantino in Vaughan

30 Nov

With 276 of 284 polls reporting, it would seem Julian Fantino is Vaughan’s new MP.

Reporter Shawn Star is at his campaign party. Stay tuned for reaction.

Joshua Freeman says Tony Genco’s party has all but ended, though campaign staffer Brian Clow says it isn’t over til all the votes are counted. (Genco stopped in early, spoke briefly and was whisked away. Freeman was told Genco won’t scrum with reporters or be interviewed tonight.)

So while no camp has claimed victory or conceded defeat, it’s Fantino’s new seat.
